Durham County Accepts Applications for Nonprofit Agency Funding Program

Durham County Government is accepting prequalification forms for its Nonprofit Agency Funding Program (NAFP). The County has revised its NAFP and application process.  Nonprofit agencies now must complete a prequalification form in order to apply for funding. Prequalification forms are available on the County’s Budget and Management Services website. Prequalification forms and relevant attachments are due to the Durham County Budget and Management Services Department no later than 5 p.m. on Monday, February 9.

Agencies meeting minimum qualifications will be notified by Thursday, February 12. At that time, information will be given regarding dates and times for training sessions for the new online nonprofit application system.  For qualified nonprofits, the online application period will be February 18 through March 18.

The application and evaluation process for funding is driven by the applicant organization’smission as it corresponds to Durham County’s mission. The mission of Durham County Government is to enhance the quality of life for its citizens, by providing education, safety and security, health and human services, economic development, cultural and recreational resources.
